Book Review !!-Personal review .

Hi!! I just thought about trying my hand in book reviewing and here it begins with this book. Hope you enjoy it. And can honestly post your suggestion in the comments column.
Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami is a story about Tuskuru Tazaki, who had four friends at school and their names symbolised colours, The two boys Akamastu meaning’ red pine ‘, Oumi ‘Blue Sea’ while the two girls were shirane ‘white root’ and Kurono ‘black field ‘, but only Tazaki whose name had no connection with colour hence the book is titled colourless Tazaki. The story moves ahead, with one day out of the blue, Tuskuru Tazaki friends announced they didn’t want to see him ever again. And abruptly ending the friendship, and since that day the thought has been troubling him Why did they cut off friendship But soon he meets Sara, Who tells him that the time has come to find out what happened and where are they all Will he be able to solve the mystery?

The writing is descriptive, describing the setting very well, the story moves very fast and you are so hooked, you don’t feel like keeping the book away and the only time you want to keep it away is once you have known the complete story. The second half of the book moves faster solving the mystery and getting closer to the climax, You must surely read the book it’s very engaging and worth a shot. The writer is a Japanese writer who is also known for his book

Kafka on the shore. And this one colourless book has been his most recent writing. The book also brings you closer in understanding how common and uncommon are names that contain colour in Japan. And not to forget you get another perspective of Japan culture.

Is it true LOVE or Fatal ATTRACTION ?

Love is something we all crave for all our life ever since we realize the power of love is endless. Love adds zest to our life. Love makes us stronger. Love is also something we yearn for in bad times. In time of personal turmoil loves gives us the courage to face our battles and fight them valiantly. Love adds meaning to our lives. When we connect with our soulmates or somebody of the opposite gender at deeper level, love gives us a sense of purpose in our mundane life. Love makes us want to make ourselves better as individuals and helps us connect to a higher self. Love can be a common thread between two absolute strangers who after find in love in each other are ready to sacrifice and wholeheartedly support each other.

Love is all we think about in the moments of romance. We are able to understand the essence of beauty in everything when we are in love which we would have not bothered to consider otherwise. When in love a rose looks more beautiful then ever. The sunrise and the sunset are the most amazing things on planet earth when we are in love. Love has no age bar. We are never too young nor to old to fall in love, but are always only a little confused when in love because of our own inner conflicts. Thus the best way to describe such a state of romance is through the age-old anecdote “love is blind “. But love cannot be always blind, cause one partner will always get an awakening to realize whether it is love indeed or plain infatuation. Love grows with time and only time can answer this mysterious question. So should we be practical while failing in love with somebody or should simply follow our heart to search for the big answer:

The illusion of love …

2011-12-Love Illusion

So in the days of Christmas and New Years Eve, everybody is singing a song of romance. Romance is what stays with us for the longest. Many times we have enjoyed watching some of our favorite romantic movies repeatedly. From Dilwale to Love Actually, romance never fails to make us fall in love again and again… Infact we just can’t get enough of the characters or the stories. The emotions that we’re all wrapped in those 120-150 minutes make us forget all our woes.
Similarly in a novel, we enjoy the story so much that we just can’t put the book down and are dying to know the end till we have been done with those 300 odd pages of reading. Finally we realize that the central theme of the story that got us hooked is actually a spin on Romance. The only difference amongst these stories and real life is that in the stories whether it’s motion picture or literature the author can limit the romance to the extent he deems fit. Where as in Real life we continue with our story till it ends bitterly or even sweetly and forget that there is nothing we control except the decision we can take on choosing which path we should take. But we get so carried away with the romance on screen and novels that we often our misguided by our true emotions. We fail to understand that the simpler the life much more easy to handle love and romance. Also in movies the characters are larger than life, they can act bold, where as in reality we really don’t know how others would react to our feelings and sentiments. Thus we should only listen to our own heart first and not get influenced by Romantic novels and movies. Instead we should use Romance in stories to inspire us.

Love is in the air!

love-4

Love is the common factor that can bind us yet we so often take for granted.

We live in a world where we differentiate so much amongst people. Right from the colour to the appearance and to their social status that we forgot that the most important aspect of judging a person is how he or she as a person makes us feel in their presence. They maynot be good spokespersons or savvy conversationalists but their positivity rubs on us and we feel attracted to them in silence. Simply their presence makes us feel happy and proud of being around. Their calmness is contagious like the serenity of a lake. We can spend hours around them without being distracted or bored. Perhaps it’s the love that connects.

On the other hand most of the times we get too judgmental about people. We want them to behave in a particular way and be of a particular status or personality. This is when we miss the essence of love. The essence of love is to just be. The rest is all waste of time and idleness of the mind. The mind having nothing better to do misses out on the moment and tries to act like a big bully. It tells us what to do instead of how to feel. It takes us away from the real essence of being to rather the meaningless pursuit of what is unimportant in the larger scheme of things. So to love and feel the love of others is more soothing than the best of wine that you have ever had.
