Secret Santa Gift !!

My Secret Santa gift came with a Clause .After sharing my thoughts on what I wanted for Christmas,A secret Santa I guess read my Post and gifted me a Gift Voucher from a popular bookstore near by,And so I couldn’t wait for the next day (Tomorrow) to arrive and spend time at the bookstore,For which I only find reasons to go to and browse through the book collection. And the day had arrived and couldn’t wait for the clock needle to strike at 10:00 am,But to avoid showing any sign of excitement I Had kept myself busy until it was about 10:15 and thought now it would a good time.

As usual first I strolled around each section and scanned the book carefully,Until I felt none of these are really holding my attention to pull them from their shelfs and I went through my notes on book on my reading list, And started enquiring about the availability of some of the titles that I had wish to read from my list,To my disappointment none of them were currently available with the bookstore and the supplier. And don’t know until when , they will be available.

They offered me to go to their bookshop in the hotel around and browse through the books as they have a selected selection to choose from and I might just have a story worth reading.

But,No I did not find any that I would like reading immediately .

in a standalone bookstore “No means no “where as E-Commerce sites No can be a Yes too.

As,The Digital Generation gets used to convince bargains and a choice as per your selection.

It becomes a challenge to pay the Full Price for something same that’s would be Available for a bargain.Hence the Secret Santa’s gift came with a clause.

That I was totally afraid about and had specially mentioned too on my previous blog “Santa Wherever you are”

Men,women and Loneliness !!

Men,Women and loneliness. This was the theme for the TOI LitFest 2016.

I would like to express my views on this topic and to begin with

At a time,When a lot of celebrities in India and the globe are opening about loneliness issues they have been facing

This topic becomes more relevant to speak about. And the general population has been influenced to such an instinct they too have being opening about their issue, they have been facing in the society,Workplace and home.

But,Hey have men have been facing challenging times since the world has become a rather intolerant towards humour,Making them think too much while they speak their mind out? Or is it because

Women with their independence have been encouraged to follow their path and not settle for anything less than, the expectation they have made up in their mind? Or is it The difference amongst the two, that has forced individuals to deal with loneliness that has its consequences of dealing with anxiety and depression? Or have people become too confused with what they have wanted out of their life’s

forcing humans to be wary and still be part of social circle,As we humans were always part of Socialising and couldn’t deal with being lonely.

Typewriter-TypeWriting experience!!

Ever wondered How challenging is it to write on a typewriter?
Not really Right?

About a fortnight ago.I had the privilege of experiencing to write on a typewriter.

Since,I have being longing to Own one for a while,I thought this is the only moment I could come close to experiencing writing on the mechanical device.

So,without thinking for a moment,I sat on the chair and started writing my 1st few words on the typewriter. And after my typing my first Word itself I realised,In today’s time its a device for the very patient writers to write on and can be a tiring laborious job for a generation who are hooked on to the Touchscreen devices and computers,Laptops for writing. But,looking at the past history its surely a device to own for its design. But, Sadly it isn’t available anymore,Unless you can hunt for a store that sells antiques.Without Boring You guys for another minute,I shall begin describing my difficulties while typing on a typewriter.

1.To enter and begin on another line a bar needs to be moved,Whenever you need to begin at another line.

2.Caps Lock are keys available at the extreme left, Until an assistant doesn’t tell you where it is, You would miss it.

3.The most interesting part the way words are written out and getting printed.

4.It’s A very Heavy device

5.NO Delete,With so much dependency on not knowing what to write and silly spelling mistake it can become frustrating to write on one.

6.Thanks to The typewriter for the Courier Font and AmericanTypewriter for us to able to experience the writing style of a typewriter on our I.T Gadgets.

7. The QWERTY Keyboard was first came into the existence in a typewriter The QWERTY layout was devised and created in the early 1870s by Christopher Latham Sholes, a newspaper editor and printer who lived in milwaukee,Wisconsin . In October 1867, Sholes filed a patent application for his early writing machine he developed with the assistance of his friends Carlos Glidden and Samuel W.Soulé

8.These are just some of the experiences on using the typewriter for barely 5 minutes,But I guess In today’s time with word processing software making it easier to type these days, its only my lack of imagination to imagine how did the writers of the past adjust pages,Alignments and manage to write on such a manual mechanical device.
