Fatafati(Amazing) Kolkata!!

Kolkata-Harvested Yesterday (Kal-Yesterday,Kata-Harvested)The moment we landed,at the airport Walked into the baggage claim belt. I realised The airport is Big!!

Started our journey towards our hotel.

The airport Architecture is very internationally appealing. Kolkata version of The Big Ben too Came on our way and then we realised kolkata is a Big city!! It’s the 2nd largest city in India after New Delhi in terms of the space.

The next thing that I relearned was it was also the capital of our country once.

It’s the 1st city to have had the metro compared to the other metro cities. It’s been there for 2 decades.

Kolkata can also boast about having the 1st underground metro railway system in the country. And the oldest Running electric tram system in Asia and being the only city  in the country to have a tram network since1902.

Cricket’s 3rd largest stadium in the world is in kolkata.

The oldest Polo club in the world resides here.

The 1st golf club outside UK was established in 1829 at  The royal Calcutta golf club.

Football salt lake stadium is the 2nd largest stadium in the world and it’s here in kolkata and No wonder football is so big!!

The Die hard foodie too,Can relish and satisfy there hunger ego by  tasting delicious food and sweets famous world wide

Indian Chinese cuisine which originated almost 100 years ago  and The only Chinatown in India is in kolkata.

Satyajit Ray-The 1st oscar winner in the country

The landmark Howrah bridge one of the largest Cantilever bridges in the world. And the largest one in the country.

No wonder,They have the intellectual ego and work on their own pace.

We dream !!

We Dream It can bring out a steam.

The steam ,That takes us through different streams.

Streams that can make us go through extremes.

Extremes that make us scream,

Screams that don’t let us forget our dreams.

Being Human !!

The concept is nice, about having human books (HumanBeings) who are stories,And would like to speak about a specific chapter from their life,Or the whole book could be about them. But, it Could have been more interesting as in stories .

Each reader(Participants) gets to choose his books from the library and has 20 minutes to be the part of a group who too would be interested in knowing the HumanStory. The Books that I read, I Had the time to read only 3 from the shelves,But many off the shelves.

First one A story about a girl who’s story was about a journey of a restless mind.

And it was just like any other story Fighting sucide attempts and over coming it.

The second one about the helpline service available for the sucidal cases and about him,Why did he begin this initiative and the other passions of his life.

The last book was interesting as it was an fascinating story about how the circle of life was complete for him after being born in Mumbai later landing in Belgium village,Travelling to Amsterdam and coming back to this city. And Manages to solve the puzzle of his existence.

Wunderland!!

Miniatur Wunderland, Hamburg The world’s largest Model railway is a tourist attraction, and the highlight for me in my trip to Germany.

Can you imagine a tiny real world, from cities around the world, giving the same feeling of the actual cities.

Last vegas,Night effect would give you the feeling of standing on “the strip” and watching the lighting .

The flight taking off,With the sound effect of the engine and the movement of the airplane going on the runaway ready to take off, would only give you the sense and feeling as if you were there at the airport witnessing the action,These airplanes models had the branding of lufthansa, airberlin ,Emirates and many more airlines on them. The most amazing experience of witnessing the real world around the globe in a tiny space.

Trivia of the wonderland:

English/Vinglish

English The language we all know is difficult to learn,English is also known as a phunny language and today even the simplest words are hard to spell correct if the autocorrect isn’t activated in your devices like the mobile fone tablet and Computer
While just browsing online the other day the house helper came up and asked me “Akhil” what’s the spelling of January. I Quickly Responded with J-A-N-U-A-R-Y.

Thought for another moment and repeated yes it’s (J-A-N-U-A-R-Y)

But,I wasn’t still sure about the spelling as my mind did not check the correct word I Spelled out,So only when I googled I was satisfied yes the spelling was correct.

With each passing day,We are so heavily dependent on our devices that the day isn’t too far when we will google each word and write it down since our vocabulary consists of “U”

Instead of “You” “v” instead “We” we aren’t moving ahead with our grammar rather moving backwards, going back to those historic days of the past in other words the world would be adapating to Latin English once again.

Back to the Shakespearean times “Thou shall not pass “in English if it’s not Shakespearean. Technology is making us handicapped and we haven’t realised yet.
