The movie was unexpectedly one of the best movie I Have watch of Daniel Radcliffe as its humorously,Well constructed movie set in a single location.

Goodbye to language (Adieu Au LANGUAGE) By JEAN LUC GODARD French swiss film director,Screenwriter and film Critic,The man responsible for identifying with 1960s French film movement as the “New Wave” and was innovate in his style of storytelling.
Goodbye To language is an experimental 3D Film And the highlight of the film is two separation shots in which a single, unbroken shot splits into separate shots that can be viewed simultaneously through either the left or the right eye and returns to one single 3D Shot,Double exposure 3D images and shots with parallax that are difficult for the human eye to see.

The Lure(ĆORKI DANCINGU) Directed by AGNIESZKA SMOCZYŃSKA her 1st feature film and she has executed it so well.
Two mermaids sister swim out of the sea into a Warsaw nightclub set in the 80s,They are wild,Sexy and hungry for life. And with human qualities one of the sister falls in love with A young Man and the sister bonds are tested when they are forced to take decisions . Another polish film that I watched and enjoyed as these ideas are so fresh.

The film also got a special jury Award at the 2016 Sundance Film Fest.

The Together Project(L’EFFET AQUATIQUE)

Samir a tall, lanky,in his 40s crane operator from Montreulli in the outskirts of Paris, falls head over heals in love with Agathe.
And discovers she is a swimming instructor and decides to join her classes (although he can swim perfectly) and a few lessons later she realises the real intentions for him to join the class and this is how they actually meet each other.

India banned rupee 500 & 1000!!

new-rs-500-2000-notes-650_650x400_61478622987.jpgOn the eve of the presidential election in  America, Narendra modi prime minister of India announced in his speech a statement that many thought was a prank being passed on their messaging app,But as soon as they tuned  on the broadcasting channels they believed the news to be real when he completed his statement “₹500 and ₹1000” notes to be banned and replaced by new ₹500 and ₹2000 notes. But a panic around was already created How?

When?Why?

How nobody knew about this ?

Why -To curb Black money laundering and fake note circulation

When -Effective from today your current ₹500 & ₹1000 are worthless paper.

But,Wait a minute don’t yet make ash from your cash.

Your bank will issue  new currency money for ₹500 & ₹2000 denominations from 10th November 2016.

But don’t forget to deposit your old useless notes between the 10th November and 30th December.

Also to make things comfortable around and ease the people’s tension of  will they be getting notes.

The banks would be open ,for you even on the weekend that’s Saturday and Sunday.

This move by our prime minister has been one of the boldest moves .yet been played by him and his team of minister.

Trivia this was a concept that was implemented by him,But the idea was from a lesser known guy Anil .

And if all prevails it’s time to go cashless.. Paytm karo.

This plan was planned a few months ago a few close groups knew about it too,But the common man and some elitist  were  stunned by the goggly thrown by our PM.

Movies @ MAMI !!

JIA ZHANGKE one of the Best Chinese Filmmaker,But one of the best filmmakers in the world too.Had not only his film screened at the festival,But also was present himself during the festival for a Q&A on his Films and his filmmaking journey. Two of his movies were screened during the week the festival was held “A Touch of Sin”(THAIN ZHU DING) and “Unknown Pleasures “(RÈN XIÃO YÁO) Two of his most popular work he is known for in his recent past.

I Managed to catch “A Touch of Sin” A story about 4 people, from 4 different provinces. An economic giant slowly eroded by giant,An angry miner revolting against the corruption of his village leaders,A migrant worker at home for NewYear discovers the infinite possibilities a firearm can offer.

A pretty receptionist is pushed to her limits when a rich client assaults her. And a young factory worker goes from one job to another to improve his lot in life.

The film Had the Story,Screenplay and Direction done by JIA ZHANGKE. Still Life(2006) won the director The Golden Lion award (Best Film)at the 63rd Venice International Film festival.Still Life tells the story of two people in search of their spouses.

“A Touch of Sin” has been my 1st Chinese film screening and it only mirrored the Chinese Autocratic,Communal culture while the story was being told.A Touch of sin would have been a moment of realisation,Had I missed the opportunity of not watching the film.

Its difficult for me to comment on the directors style and other technical aspects for JIA Zhangke since this was the 1st film of mine of his which I viewed.

DREN ZHERKA a Debut director from Kosovo had his film ECHO(EHO) screened and witnessed by cinema buffs.

A story about A senior citizen woman involved in a car accident that results in the death of the victim Luan,Overcome by her Guilt she tries finding his family. The search leads her to ismet a 70 + father of laun.As days passes ismet tries to come in terms with the shocking news about his son and recalls the last moments spent with his son .Hanna the Senior Citizen woman has lost her husband and has not heard from her son,can easily understand the loss of ismet
The film that has a parallel storytelling sharing both the thoughts and struggle of both the characters is more story driven rather than dialouge driven.A serious movie to begin your day with,But also a story about two grandparents who have lost somebody and are finding it difficult to live with the fact of what they have lost.
JÉRÓME REYBAUD who’s film 4 Days in France was acknowledged as the Critics Choice at Venice International Film Critics 2016 was screened too. JÉRÓME 1st feature film to have Have not only being Directed,But the story and screenplay has been done by him

4 Days in France is about Pierre Tomas,Who leaves to travel through france. And as he is wandering around to find his lover Paul , he tries to find him through an app (Grindr)These two lovers try in their own ways,to find their way back to each other.

The film is an interesting take on how much these two struggle to find each other and how they finally meet each other.

This will be 3 Series Blog,Follow me to stay updated which are the remaining 7 movies I watched.

MAMI FESTIVAL!!!

18th MAMI(Mumbai Academy of Mumbai Image) FEST recently concluded at Mumbai.A Movie fest that is held every year for the last 18 Years in the City,Screening Best of Cinemas from around the world.

China,Turkey,Polish,French,German,United Kingdom, United States of America,Canada and off course India and many more all under one roof for one week, for the Cinema lovers and Die-hard movie buffs.

I had been trying to attend this festival from the last four years,But due to college assignments deadlines,Work and Pre-planned travel plans couldn’t attend it.But,This year the story was different, even with being busy,I had made my plan to experience the world of cinema all under one roof. In the one week that the festival was held with over 100 movies, conversations,Panel discussion and launches with already a huge audiences to market and publicise the exclusive privilege earned at the festival this Movie/Mela couldn’t get better.

Me with the time in my hand, managed just a mere 10% of entertainment from the 100 % entertainment offered to me.

Oh!Yes I managed just 10 movies in the 7 days (168 HRS) of the festival,And it still did not satisfy me since I missed a good 90% of entertainment.

Anyways,The 10 movies that I Managed to catch from the festival,Will be shared in my next Post with a complete synopsis and my review of it.

“Queen of Katwe”-Personal Movie Review

“Queen of Katwe” A film by Mira Nair.Is a film Based On a true story,That Sends out a very strong message to the audiences,That no matter what background you belong to,No matter where you come from. You must be given the opportunity to prove yourself. The film revolves around the central character Phiona (Played by Madina Nalwanga) the movie on who it’s actually based and Robert Katende (Played by David Oyelowo, who was last seen playing the role of Sir.Mater Luther King in Salma)Play’s the role of  the coach who start’s training some of the kids in a  ‘ Katwe’,  a small village of Uganda, how to play Chess ,as a part time job,But makes it a full time job when he realises the potential of these kids becoming Master of the game. The amazing part of the story is how they adapt ,and prove their worth by defeating students from the best high school in the Uganda.

The timely expression and dialogues with South African music add the extra touch to make the movie an enjoyable one.

The star Cast also includes Lupita Nyong’O who play’s the role of Phiona mother (Nakku Harriet) (Academy Award winner of “12 Years A Slave”)

The complete star cast and the team involved in the film,Has done a really good job with the movie.
