Past & Future of Humans !!

Sapiens & Homo Deus – By Yuval Noah Harari.

These Two Books,Had been  on my mind since the beginning of 2017 .And Just when the 1st Quarter of 2018 comes to an End. I did finish my Journey of a The Brief History of HumanKind and A Brief History of tomorrow. It was A wonderful tedious read. Yuval Harari Tells us some  things  that we might already be aware about and  tell us  things which we might be completely unaware of, Since our Media personalities must have never spoken about these issues.

Facts such as the Chinese exchanging rice production with weapons that resulted in one of the most deadliest famine in the history in 1958.

6 Million people in France suffer from nutritional security.that means these   people  do not have asses to the  nutrional food, in order to be able to live a healthy and active life.

Sapiens is a Book that gets you thinking about so much,Even after you are done reading there are so many questions you still want to know about, even though you know a lot more about Humankind after reading the  book then  you would have known.

Phara phrasing some quotes from “Sapiens”

Our language evolved as a way of gossiping.”

― Yuval Noah HarariSapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

This is the essence of the Agricultural Revolution: the ability to keep more people alive under worse conditions.”

― Yuval Noah HarariSapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

Evolution has made Homo sapiens, like other social mammals, a xenophobic creature. Sapiens instinctively divide humanity into two parts, ‘we’ and ‘they’.”

― Yuval Noah HarariSapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

I also truly believe,Every season has a trend of similar books now being published. Ever since these two books have become a global phenomenon. You are now getting more books on similar lines being published.Making it difficult to choose which books to read next.

The Third book  coming from Yuval ’21 lessons from 21st Century’ this August 2018. A book on Issues that need to be tackled

Fake News,Terrorism and  from resilience and humility to meditation.

Yuval Noah Harari is a author worth reading.

Into The Water-Book Review!

Julia it’s me.I need you to call me back.

Please,Julia.It’s important…’

Now Nel  is dead. They say she jumped.

And Jules has been dragged back to the one place she hoped she had escaped for good,To care for the teenage girl her sister left behind.

Into the water is a thriller written by Paula Hawkins,The Author of the bestselling book “The Girl on the Train”

The style of writing  in this book is similar to the one she first wrote,Giving us an insight to the characters by having characters speaking about their thoughts,Views and action Individually. There are more characters introduced in the beginning itself this time,Making it slightly difficult to follow who it might be the muderer.

Book is  written in four parts each part ending with the question what happens. And you just cannot keep the book down and want to continue reading.

A good thriller but not as good as the first one “The Girl On The Train”

The thing with reading thriller is you could guess who might be the killer. But as you read along it becomes difficult to register all the information and makes it interesting to read.Where as watching thriller your mind cannot stop analysing what might happen next. And occasionally you guess the suspense even before the story concludes.

High Mountains of Portugal – A Book Review

Yann Martel is the author of Life of Pi, the #1 international bestseller and winner of the 2002 Man Booker (among many other prizes) and “High Mountains of Portugal”  Is his most recent work that has been published this year .

“High Mountains of Portugal” -Yann Martel

In Lisbon in 1904, a young man named Tomás discovers an old journal. It hints at the existence of an extraordinary artifact that—if he can find it—would redefine history. Traveling in one of Europe’s earliest automobiles, he sets out in search of this strange treasure. This is  the 1st part of the story  where the character is homeless, lonely grieving about his loss .

the 2nd part of the story homewards is where the story takes a gap and takes us through another characters journeys  ,Thirty-five years later, a Portuguese pathologist devoted to the murder mysteries of Agatha Christie finds himself at the center of a mystery of his own and drawn into the consequences of Tomás’s quest.

Fifty years on, a Canadian senator takes refuge in his ancestral village in northern Portugal, grieving the loss of his beloved wife. But he arrives with an unusual companion: a chimpanzee. And there the century-old quest will come to an unexpected conclusion. The third and final part of the story is home where the story concludes after another Fifty years on, a Canadian senator takes refuge in his ancestral village in northern Portugal, grieving the loss of his beloved wife. But he arrives with an unusual companion: a chimpanzee. And there the century-old quest will come to an unexpected conclusion.

The moment you read what the book  is about ,You want to give it a read. The book is written in three parts homeless,Homeward and home. And its  interesting  since its about three stories  that has a common conclusion and very descriptive, describing every detail and making the reader imagine the setting as if he is there. The story is a little odd and not every reader will enjoy this.

The book blurb has one thought that makes you question –

Three journeys.Three broken hearts . One question …

What’s life without stories ?

TigerMates personal book review !!!

Basic CMYK

I am just done with reading ‘Tiger Mates’, and it was an enriching novel especially since it describes how sometimes we would want to take revenge exactly for the same reason that we were punished, but then love overpowers and make us discover our true purpose. Also it highlights the plight of the tribal of Chhattisgarh, which has not been covered in a novel yet. Until Amrish Shah decided to write about the Naxalities terror and made it very relevant to the socio-politics of India. Tiger Mates has got a strong antagonist and the protagonist Shyla comes across as a very dynamic character. Neil the hero is also a charmer that will steal the reader’s hearts away. Tiger Mates is a valiant attempt by the screenwriter of DON 2- Amrish Shah.

The theme and the setting and the characters are as contemporary as it can get. For me Tiger mates is a Novel that I can reread a couple of time cause there is more than what meets the eye.
