Coorg : A Weekend Destination.

It’s been more than a month.Since I have written a blog and the travel & work  has been one of the reasons.

This is a blog about my recent visit to Coorg.
Having heard so much about the place and the Coffee Planation,Coorg was on my list. The journey was long and tiring ,But a very serene scenic place for the  weekendA four hour drive from Mangalore airport  through the hills and no network connection throughout is very exhausting and challenging for the ones who have been constantly connectedOnce you reach Coorg and walk in to the hotel. You are totally  walking in the woods and it’s one of the most amazing experience. The walks through the trees  overlooking greenery from the balcony is one of the most blissful experience which you wouldn’t haven’t experienced for a long time. The Walks are like treks every day, You are forced to exercise and love the healthy routine you should follow. The only sightseeing’s are the views which are like going through the sand dune safaris.  And  you are going through a rocky ride here. The corgi cuisine is very typical of the south Indian food and tasty enough to miss your diet and have a cheat day everyday

Amritsar -25th Birthday!

You really don’t realise how long it has actually been,Until you sit down and think when was the last time… As my parents have been visiting the Golden Temple for years but for the last 5 years and I have missed the opportunity of visiting Amritsar , because of work commitments. This Year I decided for my 25th I wanted to visit the Holy city of Punjab,Amritsar.
It’s been more than two weeks already since we have got  back. But,my birthday weekend was a memorable one.Eating the typical street food from the city,Having the Banta (Lemon juice+Soda+Shikanji) a type of Lemonade. But you just don’t get the same taste. This time I watched him closely,Should try again making at home.
The Chole+Kulcha and the Kulcha’s had the perfect weather to digest them all,When you  could  Hogg  all day.The Weather being all breezy and Cold.Couldn’t have been a better time to visit the city.
The Visit to the Golden Temple on our first day in the evening was the calmest and most peaceful visit to any temple so far.
With just the family-4 of us Mom,Dad,Sister and Me of Course it was a great trip!
Oh! Not to forget our Amritsar Guide -Ggunjan  for the hospitality and warmth made it a Memorable trip to remember.

Two Adorable Losers Play!!!

Two adorable losers is an upcoming play at NCPA for the theatre lovers and If you haven’t been for a play yet or always wanted to go for one ,this one is for you This is  your chance to come and enjoy the comedy starring Darsheel Safary from ‘Tare Zaamen Par ‘ fame and Abhishek Pattnaik who is not only starring in the play,But has co-written and co-produced it  ,under “Out of the box production “
Two adorable losers is a English comedy about a professor played by (Abhishek Pattnaik) from Odisha who is weak in his English diction and a student played by (Darsheel Safary) who is weak in his academics. Both suffer from the same problem – an inferiority complex. In an attempt to regain their lost confidence, they approach each other in an unusual alliance.
A little trivia about the play- The play is adapted in Odhisha and is many ways an autobiographical tone for the  writer Abhishek Pattanaik  as his parents originally belonging to Odhisha shifted to Mumbai, But having his parents roots in odhisha they would travel to cuttack during his vacation and the observation of livelihood,Mannerism, surrounding and the people around for years later is getting adapted with an already hilarious sounding play “Two adorable losers”that unfolds for all on the 13th of January 2019 at NCPA.

Reading reality!

Reading as a hobby could be such a pleasure,You can  always learn about places,Culture,People, psychology of people and while you are idle, your  mind is imagining all that’s written. And what if you end up in the country,You have read so much about?Have you ever wondered about the same ? Would you have a sense of familiarity or moments of Déjà vu?
For me as a reader,I have enjoyed reading Murakami books a lot right from the first book I read of his “colourless tazaki “to the most recent read “Norwegian wood.”May be because his stories are slightly eccentric or because he is a writer based in Japan,And there has always been a fascination for me as there is so little we know about the Japanese. And since Japan is the backdrop for all his stories the curiosity remains.
I read Norwegian wood last month.A book who’s inspiration is from the Beatles song Norwegian wood (This bird has flown )this was  Post my visit to Japan about six months ago. And when I started reading the Norwegian wood
And as I kept turning the pages of the book,While reading. I sensed being in Japan and it wasn’t my imagination that was going wild,But a sense of reality that I was living in. I enjoyed reading the book even more because may be the perspective had changed as I had already travelled to Japan and could now relate to the place,People and culture even more than ever.
