There is also an hour-long special with Oprah Winfrey with the “Real” five accused. Oprah Winfrey is the producer along with Robert Di Nero.

But, The Big Question is how much has changed in the USA? Even though this was 89. There was an event recently about a week in the USA Where cops were harassing and assaulted a Black.

The series is Written & Directed by Ava DuVernay who has directed the critically acclaimed film “Selma” which was also produced by Oprah Winfrey.

The five teenagers years later after proven not guilty were Vacated from court means that those who were originally convicted are treated as though no trial ever took place in the first place.

Their settlement for wrongly been accused was $41Million amongst the five of them. Largest in history.

2017 Reads!!

1984- By George Orwell’s .There is a reason why it’s called a classic and a book you must read.The period when the book was written nearly 50 years ago and even today 50 years later  you can relate to it. The book was on my shelf for nearly 1 and half year.

Into the water:Paula Hawkins the girl on the train Writer is the next mystery thriller writer which you must read once to get hooked.

Pancake in Paris: A book that was on my reading list for about 2 years ever since I heard about it.This book is about a journey you would like to savour and has a long after taste lingering.

Shoe Dog: A brand that you aspired in your childhood is a story of confidence and believing in yourself and chasing your dream by telling yourself Just Do it.

Kohinoor: A diamond that wasn’t forever for India and what’s all is it about! Tracing the historical roots.

The prisoner of geography: Book for the wandering mind to know why the relationship of love-Hate are their amongst the countries and why some of the harsh decisions cannot be taken.Even if they have to be taken.

Men without women by Murakami: Is a short read,telling you what  the world without the opposite sex and vice Versa could be.

These are some of the books I enjoyed,while there are a few others too. But,these were worth mentioning.

PHIL KNIGHT- SHOE DOG, A Book that was on my reading list, ever since I viewed the Interview of phil Knight on the charlie Rose show and immediately,Wanted to read it.But, Till the time I actually bought the book, I read the repeated article appearing in leading newspapers.

Here in India with Bill Gates Stating “it a refreshingly honest reminder of what the path to business success really looks like… it’s an amazing Tale”. A book recommended To Read …

I was sure,This Book would really be the most enjoyable read for me

There is so, little we all know about Nike ,And are totally oblivious who is Phil Knight ?     months later.I Read the book,And The way the book was structured,Like a suspenseful novel.

From Phil knight journey- To discover himself to joining the dots years later when Nike became synonymous with the Best Sport shoe one can own .  To parting the wisdom, of myths of shoe/footwear around the globe like

Putting on the right shoe before the left will bring prosperity -Romans believed before caesar period.

China: did you know that when man marries woman,They throw red shoes on the roof to make sure all goes well on wedding night!

And Did you know when someone starts a journey,It’s actually good luck to throw shoe at them in China To Bowerman one of the most important men in the nike journey.
