Shaakaहारी !!

Travelling with Vegetarians, It’s a real challenge ,limited choices to choose from.
A vegetarian would start from the oil used for cooking,Sure right fish oil isn’t getting used.

For them Salad is their main course and snack.

If Italian isn’t part of the menu

The whole process begins…. What to order?

A vegetarian would land up eating the same thing for lunch and dinner.

A vegetarian doesn’t have the options of not liking any vegetables. And if they do they are truly following ‘The Moto stay hungry,Stay foolish’

A vegetarian diet is so full of Dairy products,Too much of something would keep them healthy always !

A vegetarian’s Best Friend is Another vegetarian and only a Jain friend would always land up as an acquaintance.

A non-Vegetarian can be friends with vegetarian friends only if they dine or lunch at restaurant which has both options and not either one of them.

A vegetarian from West Bengal can be a googly for some as Fish is considered Vegetarian here.

The Celluloid!!

Are we nearing a time when watching movies at cinema theatres and multiplex won’t be fun any more? The recent movie experience made me question. This though.

Why does One watch a movie at cinema rather than watch a movie at home or television?

Well,It’s not difficult to answer this one,But for the sole reason of watching a film the way it is without

An unedited version rather than an edited version suitable for family viewing. This not about censoring some portions of the film.

But,About Censoring the abuse language with a Beep. Why?

Not,That I enjoy listening to them aloud. But the beep takes away the cinematic experience an film

Offers at cinema theatre,Also if this is the case. Then why not download movies and watch from sites across world,We are only encouraging more piracy and looking at numbers not meeting the expected numbers as fewer audiences would rush to a multiplex to catch the latest release. And would wait for it to be premiered on Television.

If this is the case,There would be soon no HollyWood movies releasing at all at the cinemas as they would not see it as a profitable release.

And in time such as Introducing movie on demands via App for audiences to watch movies they have missed out.

This change itself makes you Question don’t we have any Creative freedom at all ?

Where are we heading ?

Moonlight -A movie Review

The much talked about movie at all the award ceremonies was released for a select Indian audience two weeks before it officially releases in the theatres this week and it doesn’t fail to disappoint moviegoers as it delivers a story that was needed to be told with subtle dialogue to fill the gaps that you might come across at the end.The movie ends as a cliffhanger for the audience to interpret the ending.A movie set in Miami and the plot revolving around A African American man surviving at Miami with inner conflicts to deal with. The Movie is based on the play In moonlight ‘Black Boys look blue  Boys ‘by Tarell Alvin McCraney’And shows the Central characters in three stages of his life and each showing more and telling about the character.A great way of moving the story ahead.A must watch for an Audience looking out for offbeat story.

Danak !!!

Danak a Hindi movie meaning “Rainbow “was released last year in  June , Is now Available on NetFlix India. From a filmmaker who’s movie you might recall but, might not be familiar with his name Nagesh Kukunoor who made “IQBAL” a movie based on a story of a guy who is ambitious about playing cricket but because of him being Physically challenged,Isn’t taken seriously.

Danak is made by him and produced by Drishyam films,A production house supporting low budget movies,With story ideas that would otherwise not be part of the celluloid.

Danak,A story about two Sibling,The brother a 8 years has lost his eyesight and one day while the family goes to watch a movie in the village the sister comes across an Ad saying SRK could help in donating eyes/Operating the eyes. And so she writes a letter to him,A few days later SRK is in Rajasthan shooting for film.

The movie follows their journey,In believing that SRK can only help them,Their stubbornness takes you on an emotional ride,of following their Dream and realising it.

A simple story,Yet effectively delivered on how Bollywood stars are seen as idols for their Fans.
