Pancake in Paris- A journey of an American,Craig who fell in love with Paris.

Craig  Carlson  was a screenwriter in the past in Hollywood.

Books on Food,Chefs or lifestyle can hardly be read or imagined by one why? You couldn’t find something Better!! To read!!

But,Trust me This one book “pancake in Paris” was on my reading list for the last year and thank God !! I read it !! It’s a pleasant read to know the nuisance of the hospitality industry and how much ones goes through when one is living abroad and missing his food …It’s full of pain…But worth all the gains,The satisfaction one gets from living their Dream.

Pancake in Paris…Breakfast in America is about Craig’s journey of falling in love with Paris during his teens on an exchange programs and years later opening his diner ‘Breakfast in America.’Living the American dream in Paris is  the Yummiest read for me this year so far.

The book written in parts titled starters, Main Course and Desserts ,making the read an appetizing one .

Patience !!

Patience :The capacity to accept.A virtue,We all are loosing bit my bit.But,Deny it. As our behaviour translates to irritability,Anger and frustration that comes out on the other. 

That has resulted us in becoming intolerant:” Not being able to accept different views.”

Making us Loose our control…While some become addicted to Alcohol,tobacco and other are in search for Sugar…

All causing health issues later…Now what causes us to become depressed.

A state of mind,That we are afraid to admit as,it’s seen as an mental illenes. But,All we got to do is channelize our brain in ways that could result in productivity …Patience is the key… 

Diamond’s aren’t forever-The Kohinoor.


Kohinoor – The story of the most infamous Diamond, Written by William Dalrymple and Co-Authored by Anita Anand.

William dalrymple,has written well researched book previously too,Like the “last mughals “and the “last king of Afghanistan”which leaves no choice but,To trust the writer doing justice to the book “Kohinoor”.
Anita Anand,The co-author too has written “Sophia” The story of an indian princess, the daughter of Duleep singh king. Makes it a perfect combination of getting the best out of the story.   
The Book,is written in two parts.The first part written by William Dalrymple and the second part by Anita Anand The first part gives you the complete history of the diamond.

Where as the second part is all about the diamond reaching the United Kingdom.  

A complete story of how significant,The diamond was and the myths and facts about it, and is it really the Gem that was mentioned in Bhagavad purana’s tale of Krishna?

Journeying through the small village of India to landing in England,and being part of it ever since.

The diamond is known as mountain of light. “Mountain of light” Is the persian word for the kohinoor.

The 190 carats diamond ,in the end until it reached england was just 93 carats, such is the history of the diamond,19th Biggest diamond in the world.

As you keep discovering about the kohinoor,You realise.it has a sibling.The Dariya-i-noor, known as the “sea of light” and is preserved in tehran.

The other unknown facts, We in 2000 signed to get the kohinoor back an initiative taken by kuldip nayar,16 years later NGO filed a petitions,To bring it back. 

The book,Is all about the diamond…And you are left with the thought. Why? All the mess for this one Diamond.         
   

Bareilly ki Barfi- Not a Movie Review!!

Bareilly ki Barfi based on the book essence  of love written by Arshad Ali.

And adapted by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari,Written by Nitish Tiwari and Shreyas Jain.Starring RajKummar Rao,Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurana. 

The simple story of love, Set in Uttar Pradesh.Which is narrated, The characterisation and performance of the story makes it an enjoyable movie for the audiences.

The Acting by Kriti Sanon should be applauded. As this was her first challenging movie with no big star cast,But a story in hand.

Rajkumar Rao,has finally got his recognition as actors with this one after giving quite a few critically acclaimed performances in the past.

Trivia :Ashwini Iyer Tiwari who has directed the flick, has had the story  written by husband Nitish Tiwari.The director behind the “Dangal.” 

 

Self Confidence!!! 


Confidence-The feeling of having faith in something.The state of feeling certain.

How important is it really? Do you really care? 

Not just with analysing,Evaluating decisions generally. 

But even with styling yourself with the right accessories and wearing the right outfit for occasions.Or for that matter experimenting with something totally not part of your personality.

And making an appearance,During the experimental phase.You will be mocked,You will be the highlight of the occasion and topic of conversation 

But,If you are confident about,Your appearance rather than nervous about it.

You won’t bother.And you soon will be seeing yourself challenging yourself next time for a bigger challenge coming your way.

Only because you have become confident about yourself.In other terms you are self-assured
