Superparx!!!

Supercar show

For reasons I don’t remember why I couldn’t go for the super parx Carshow in the past .I finally went after about four years , insisted on going for the event and wasn’t disappointed at all .There were quite a few number of BMW, RollsRoyce, Lotus and Lamborghini , Mercedes , Audi to name a few .
and If this was not the thing there were other super car owners driving around the toys to get all the attention .
This is an event annually organised by Gautam Singhania,Owner of the brand Raymond ,mostly on the 2nd  week of  January  on a Sunday and its been happening for the past six years ,Its a Rally where they go from point A to point B and back , its a nice idea to have if not all at least a few of the best cars being noticed speeding on the street of mumbai .
The only thing that I felt was that the parking lot that is the venue for the start point being too small  for the cars to be parked … I hope next year its back to the  Racecourse since I heard from a friend who accompanied me this year Racecourse had a better Display .

The Good Road

"The Good Road"

The Good Road was a movie in 2013
Yes , I got to watch the film which  was selected as the entry  for the best foreign language for the 86th Academy awards .
but was  not nominated. and So I also saw whether it made sense to send this movie or the other movies like Lunchbox and Ship of theseus. And so here my personal view on this .

The film is where several stories are intertwined with the center of the action being a highway in the rural lands of Gujarat  near the town of  Kachch.

The Story of a boy who is lost and then found while his family is on a holiday trip to Kuchch
Sonali Kulkarni, remember pooja in Dil  Chahta hai. Yes she is the mother of the boy who goes missing and is one of the cast
and also the movie shares a message of how we (Indians ) are very connected emotionally with our families . And how over time even the people who didn’t like the people become so close to each other that they find it difficult to say goodbye .
Also I always wondered how one could grip the audience for a movie on road journey, but it was interesting and Its good to know that the upcoming filmmaker, director are willing to take the risk of experimenting .

Wolf of wall street

"The Wolf Of Wall Street"

The wolf of wall street , movie was an autobiography of Jordan Ross Belfort  an American who was a  former stockbroker convicted of Fraud,  crimes related to stock market being manipulated for which he spent 22 months in prison

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio,Jonah hill and Margot Robbie  and directed by Martin Scorsese,  the movie was interesting and the Cast  Leonardo DiCaprio  Margot Robbie  and Jonah hill were good in the movie,Jonah hill acted well as a supporting cast for Leonardo DiCaprio since there were a few dialogues which were humorous for the audience which mostly came from the character played by Jonah hill .This movie is surely a must watch for all those aspiring to being in the finacial sector as it gives out the message of what happens behind the office spaces ,and not just the entertainment sector .
Its surely a movie for those who feel well they can make money in no time ….But will know the consequences too of it .

ORS-Officiating replay system

Umpires

Remember the UDRS-Umpire decision review system ?which was in the news for a while since It wasn’t accurate and the BCCI too was against the system , this was a while back ,and now in 2014 another technology advancement in the game is happening… the game might have ORS-Officiating replay system where there would be instant replay for non-match umpires ,this will allow the umpire to have more control over the replay he sees instead of depending on the replays provided to match umpires by the official broadcaster. This will not only give real-time replays but  other tech tools and total control over camera angles ,the system is intended to eliminate broadcaster bias ,speed up the Drs process and prevent howlers .This will only make the game better since The chosen official to provide the feedback for the ongoing Pak -lanka test ,simon taufel is working independently of the third umpire ,he receives 16 real time feeds from the match and also has a hawkeye engineer to assit him.the third umpire receives replays from the broadcaster in 30-40 seconds while taufel using ORS receives the signal in real time. But will this be accepted by BCCI and others since it will be expensive to adapt and many members  countries and broadcaster may not be willing to pay the extra cost.
